A little bit about the girl behind the blog…
I’m 26 and was born and raised in Toronto, Canada but have been calling Auckland, New Zealand home since April 2009. And I absolutely love it here.
I have an amazing boyfriend, who loves and supports me fully and unconditionally. He comes up quite often in me blog, so you’ll get to know a little about him, as well. I have great friends – both here and back home – who keep me laughing and push me to achieve my goals in life (then celebrate those accomplishments with some drinks and more laughter). And even though I’m basically on the opposite side of the earth from my family, they are my rock. They keep me grounded and I know they would do absolutely anything for me. Let’s be honest – I’m a damn lucky girl!
Why this blog? Accountability and motivation. I don’t want to be waif-thin. I don’t want to eat incredibly restrictive diets just to slip into a size 4 dress. I want to be fit. Strong, toned, flexible and energetic. I want to look and feel great because my body is getting the nutrition and exercise it needs to work at peak levels. So I’m laying it all out there. This is my journey to fit.

I love your reasons for blogging! I feel the same way- my motivations are health rather than appearance
Thanks.
My weight, BMI, waist-to-hip ratio etc etc are all about smack dab middle of the “normal” range, so to decide I need to lose weight is ridiculous. But my cholesterol, blood glucose, strength and flexibility can all do with some major work – so I’m focusing on that (and taking any minor physical improvements that come with that!)
GREAT blog! Love it. My blog is basically for the same thing! Accountability and motivation. And it really works!
Good luck!
Amanda
Thank you!
It really does work. I’m almost 2 months in and have only really had one weekend since starting where I haven’t been sticking to good eating. (And even then it wasn’t all that bad, looking back on it).
Looking forward to following along your adventures, as well.

Hi there! I was browsing through blogs and stumbled upon yours; I really enjoy your “About Me” section, it’s pretty much the same reasons why I blog, too. It’s even more motivating when I come across others who seem to be doing the same thing

Welcome – and thanks!
Following along with bloggers doing the same sort of thing as me has been huge inspiration and motivation. When I’m having a down day, I can usually get back on track by reading the struggles and successes of those on the same sort of journey. Plus you get some great tips, interesting facts and get that “I’m not alone!” feeling.
Looking forward to following your journey, too.

Thank you, Natalie!
Will start following along with your blog, as well. I’m always looking for great new inspiration!
